Cinemagoers’ exhaled breath reveals the scene that is playing.
Every movie leaves a characteristic pattern in the air. Researchers of the Max Planck Institute for Chemistry and of the Institute of Computer Science of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz analyzed the air in movie theaters and determined different chemical signatures depending on whether a movie scene if full of suspense, funny or boring.
