Requirements / organisational issues

Dear students,

Prof. Spichtinger has his research leave semester during the course. Therefore we, Dr. Annette Miltenberger, Dr. Manuel Baumgartner and Dr. Philipp Reutter, will take over the lecture and practice.

Due to the emergency operation of the University of Mainz, the summer semester will be very different. We will try to adapt the lecture to the external circumstances. It is planned to record the lecture using a tablet, pen and screen capturing and to make it available via panopto, (the JGU YouTube). For the time being we will not try a livestream of the lecture.

The exercise sheets should be calculated and sent electronically. Pre-calculation on the blackboard will be cancelled this semester. Details about the exercises will be provided later.

To facilitate communication, we have set up a group in Microsoft teams for this lecture. There, questions about the lecture and exercises can be asked in a chat that is visible to everyone. The link to the group:

Microsoft Teams is included for all JGU students as part of the Office365 subscription through the university. Teams was also recommended by JGU and is protected by data protection laws.
IMPORTANT: Please log in with ZDV username and password.

Microsoft Teams is available for Windows, Mac and Linux as well as for iOS and Android.

In case of problems with teams please contact me directly: preutter@uni-mainz.de
We can discuss everything else via Teams.

We offer a fixed time for questions in the above mentioned Teams group. Monday and Wednesday between 10 and 12 o'clock there is always a contact person available via Teams. Other times are of course also possible by arrangement.

Best regards
Philipp Reutter
